Volkswagen says the recall effects their core passenger car brand. According to the statement, the braking system may not function properly, a mistake that could easily become deadly.
“The braking control system may not function properly in certain driving conditions, such as when the driver over-steers, under-steers or slams on the brakes,” a spokesman for the company said.
Under some conditions, such as "when the driver over-steers, under-steers or slams on the brakes," the anti-lock brake system may fail, according to MSN.
