A 5-year-old boy, Lucas Hernandez, went missing from his Wichita, Kansas home over the weekend. Local police force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are currently investigating his sudden disappearance.
According to First Coast News, his 26-year-old stepmom last saw him Saturday afternoon around 3:00 PM in his bedroom. She reportedly went to take a shower then fell asleep.
Three hours later around 6:00 PM police were called to the home after the family could not find Lucas. Search efforts are underway — the home has been thoroughly searched with K-9 units, neighbors have spoken to police and a tip line has been set up.
So far, incoming tips have led police to search a few local parks. Unfortunately, there has been no sign of 5-year-old Lucas.
The Wichita Police Department stated that Lucas has brown hair and brown eyes. He is roughly 4 feet tall and weighs about 60 lbs. The child was last seen wearing black sweatpants, white socks, and a grey t-shirt that has a bear printed on it.
No arrests have yet been made, reported ABC7.
