3 Schools Placed On Lockdown After Fatal, Early Morning Shooting

On early Wednesday morning, one person was killed near a Massachusetts high school. According to initial reports, the suspect turned themselves in following the incident.

According to reports, one person was shot to death near Central Avenue in Everett, Massachusetts. Officers responded to shots fired after neighbors heard multiple gunshots, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan.

Everett High School, located right around the corner from the shooting, immediately went into lockdown as police were conducting a search. Additionally, George Keverian School and Parlin Junior High were placed on lockdown as well. At around 11 a.m. EST, the lockdowns were lifted.

The suspect reportedly turned themselves in following the shooting. Now, they are in police custody.

The latest reports indicated that a woman was shot in her car. She was reportedly found dead in it, after neighbors heard shots fired.
