A terrifying scene has just unfolded. 37 people have been confirmed dead, with another 69 missing, after a massive fire swept through a shopping center over the weekend.

The event occurred at a shopping center in Siberia. Many of those who were killed are said to be children. Please join us in praying for the families of all those connected to the event.

Firefighters have responded to the scene and are working to extinguish the blaze. The mall is a two-story building and the high temperatures have made rescue efforts difficult for first responders. See dramatic video footage of the blaze below:

"The Tass agency quoted firefighters as saying that 40 of the missing at the four-story Winter Cherry mall in Kemerovo were children. An additional 43 people were injured in the blaze. There has been no immediate information on the cause of the fire at the mall, which is about 1,900 miles east of Moscow. But Tass reported that the fire started on the top floor and consumed an area of about 16,150 square feet," reported CBS.

Some reports think that the fire could possibly have started near a children's play area. Shocking videos online showed people jumping from the windows to escape the blaze within the mall.
