MTO News has learned that twenty of NYC’s most prominent drill rappers were detained yesterday in a massive sting operation.
The rappers were not arrested for their music. Police say that the drill rappers were actually ruthless gang members, including four adolescents, who caused a reign of terror on communities in the Bronx where residents were shot, stabbed, and sodomized over the course of more than three years..
Prosecutors claim that the suspects were members of the G-Side/Drilly Gang, a subset Bloods Sex Money Murder, which is responsible for numerous acts of violence, mostly in the Bronx, between September 20, 2018, and March 15, 2022.

Six people were left with injuries from the stabbings, shootings, and stabbings.
Proscedturs claims that the defendants are all prominent members of the Drill rap scene. They allegedly boasted about acts of violence in music videos posted on YouTube and Instagram Live.
Clark said that often the videos would challenge rivals, leading to violent acts shortly afterwards.
“It was senseless violence,” Clark said. “It was beefs and slights and disrespects that all drove some of these incidents. We’re doing all that we can to deal with and battle the guns scourge that is happening here in the Bronx. It is important to do more to remove these young people from the cycle of violence and gangs. We do need to do more.”
