Police in Wisconsin are searching for a 13-year-old girl who is considered "missing and in danger" after the deaths of her parents. On Monday, her parents were found dead in their northwestern Wisconsin home.
Officials discovered the bodies of her parents on Monday morning before reporting the young daughter missing.
“When deputies arrived on scene they found two deceased adults. A 13-year-old female is missing from the residence and is considered missing and endangered,” Barron Country Sheriff's Department posted on Facebook.
Just before 1 a.m. police received a 911 phone call from a person who was asking for help at the residence. No other information regarding the phone call or what exactly took place has been released. However, police have confirmed that gunfire was involved.
Authorities are urging members of the community to come forward with any information they may have about where Jayme might be. She is described as being 5 feet tall, 100 pounds with strawberry blond hair and green eyes.
