A young boy named Alex has just learned that his wish will come true through the Make-A-Wish foundation. Alex is a 10-year-old boy from Ohio and was introduced to the program after finding out he has a life-threatening seizure disorder.

Make-A-Wish foundation is a non-profit organization, which grants children with life-threatening illnesses or medical conditions one ‘wish’. A wish is something that the child wants to experience before they pass, such as traveling to another country, meeting one of their idols, etc.
The organization mentions that the granted wish is not just simply ‘a fun thing’, but truly does impact the child’s happiness and well-being as they cope with their medical status.
The most popular wish is usually Disney-related, especially visiting Disneyland or Disneyworld. According to the Central New York Make-A-Wish website, Disney is a part of more than 40% of the wishes granted by that section of the foundation. Other Make-A-Wish sectors report Disney wishes at an involvement of over 50%.
The foundation does see many other unique wishes from time to time. Alex falls into this category.
