Wounded Aide and Congressman Give Scary Shooting Details About Baseball Attack

The Representative from Texas, Roger Williams, is a coach of the GOP baseball team. Zack Barth is an aide who was fielding balls when the shooting began.

Both men are lucky to be alive and thank the Capitol Police for saving everyone. Watch the incredible interview below to hear about the attack firsthand.

The Capitol Police was on scene at the time. They immediately began to return fire on the suspect. Watch the video below for more information about this horrific event.

Police are releasing information about the suspected shooter in the attack. They now know the man is James T. Hodgkinson.

Hodkinson is believed to be 66 years old and is from Belleville, Illinois. He was wounded in the exchange of gunfire by Capitol Police and is died at the hospital.

It has been reported to police by witnesses that the man asked bystanders if the baseball players practicing were Republicans or Democrats. Soon after, he opened fire on the helpless victims.

Rand Paul was also present at the practice. He told reporters shortly after that if the police had not already been on the scene that it would have been a massacre.
