World Famous Author and Creator Dies After Short Illness

One of the most notable authors has passed away at the age of 91. Michael Bond, the British author, and creator of Paddington Bear, died at his home in London on Tuesday.

Millions of children remember his iconic creation, Paddington Bear. The bear was a polite character who was prone to disasters and chaos. It was adapted into activity books, films and even a television series.

Harper Collins, the published for Michael Bond, announced his death. They did not specify what caused it, only that he had a “short illness” recently.

Mr. Bond was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Many fans of his work took to social media to post tributes and condolences.

Mr. Bond is obviously most well known for creating Paddington Bear. The books have sold more than 35 million copies worldwide and have been translated into at least 40 languages.
