Hurricane Irma, which has already blown through the Caribbean islands, is on trajectory for Florida. Governor Rick Scott already called a mandatory evacuation for several counties in the state, and he's been pushing for everyone to leave.
Now ABC News has reported when the hurricane is supposed to make landfall. Hurricane Irma will hit the Florida Keys first.
"Current forecast track calls for #Irma to hit the Florida Keys as a Cat 5 hurricane early Sunday morning, roughly between 5-7 AM ET," said the report.
In an interview with ABC, Brock Long, administration of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) warned of the possible impact of Irma.
"Obviously Hurricane Irma continues to be a threat that is going to devastate the United States...We're going to have a couple rough days."
Video footage of the British Virgin Islands shows exactly how much devastation Hurricane Irma has caused. Hopefully, the storm will have dissipated some by the time it reaches the mainland. However, the forecast doesn't seem good.
Pray for everyone who is in the path of Hurricane Irma. Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina are also under states of emergency as they wait to see how far the storm will go inland.
In other news, it's been a hard week for country music. A young star just died in a freak accident involving a helicopter.
