For some people, Hollywood celebrities are like idols who issue forth words of deep wisdom whenever our country is debating a big issue. But for many others, they have a difficult time seeing how a career in Tinseltown makes people a voice of wisdom on issues in the real world.
And even some people in Hollywood wonder that, too. The long-time host of “Wheel of Fortune” had a witty put-down to the copious amount of opinions from liberal pop culture icons demanding that more gun control and less NRA will solve the problem of mass shootings in America.
70-year-old Pat Sajak wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, “OK, let me explain this again: We're celebs. We're wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously.”
Sajak’s political views are not a big secret. He’s written for the conservative National Review, has served as a director of the conservative Regnery Publishing, and is on board of trustees for Hillsdale College. On a side note, he also served as a disc jockey for Armed Forces Radio while serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, according to IMDB.
