WATCH HERE: White House Addresses Claims of President Trump Sharing Classified Information
On May 10th, President Trump met with the Russian foreign minister and ambassador at the White House regarding a terrorist threat.
Concerns were raised when multiple news sources reported that the president revealed classified information to Russian leaders.
The White House held a press briefing with National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster in response to these claims.
During the briefing, McMaster consistently noted that the president's conversation with Russian leaders was ‘wholly appropriate’.
McMaster also mentioned that the reasoning for an advisor reaching out about Trump's conversations with Russia could have been from ‘an abundance of caution’, but he is unsure.
McMaster, among others, were in the room with the president during the meeting and according to him, the President did not share anything that was inappropriate.
President Trump also responded to the accusations on Tuesday morning.
