It was difficult for father Van Terry to stand in an Ohio courtroom and face the serial killer who had tortured his 18-year-old daughter to death, but when the convicted killer showed no remorse even after being given a death sentence, Van sprang into action.
According to the Christian Post, Van was making a statement about the brutal death of his deeply religious daughter when he turned around to look at the expression on the killer Michael Madison's face.
"Right now, I guess we're supposed to, in our hearts forgive this clown, who has touched our families, taken my child," Van started saying, before glancing back to see Madison smirk at him.
And that's when Van decided to take matters into his own hands.
