In early March, Walmart started a recall list of contaminated products from their locations. Walmart has been continuously expanding their recent recall, including many other popular foods.
On April 8th, the FDA noted that the store’s Organic Marketside Spring Mix salad was recalled due to contamination of ‘extraneous animal matter’.
These salad products were specifically distributed to states in the south including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and a few others.
Originally, many of Walmart’s Marketside frozen pizzas (same brand as the salad recall) were suspected to be contaminated with a deadly bacteria: listeria.
Various brands of frozen vegetables were also recently added to the recall list in early April. You can view the full list here.
Thankfully, no deaths or injuries have been reported and Walmart is acting quickly by removing recalled products from shelves.
If you have any of these products in your home, please trash or return the store immediately.
