Prince William and Princess Kate delighted fans today with the news of their upcoming third baby. The royal pair, set to inherit the throne, already have Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, who just turned 2 in May. Kensington Palace sent out this official announcement via Twitter.
But while the news is very joyous for the young family, it's not going to be a walk in the park for Princess Kate. As with her last two pregnancies, Kate is already suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme type of morning sickness that can often require hospitalization from dehydration.
Due to the severity of Kate's condition, the Palace informed the public that the duchess would not be attending a scheduled engagement she had for Monday. If this pregnancy is like the last two, she will have to cancel a few public engagements until she feels better, which is typically in the second trimester.
CBS shares that the couple's next child will rank higher than Prince Harry: "The new baby will bump its Uncle Harry -- Prince Harry to the rest of the world -- out of the top-five in the royal line of succession."
What exciting news for the royal couple and their many fans! While England has her good news, America got some sad news today, as one of our rock legends passed away.
