U.S. Launches Airstrike on Syria, Drops Explosives on Forces

According to a Fox News alert, the U.S. has launched an airstrike on pro-Bashar al-Assad forces in Syria.

According to Shep Smith, a senior U.S. official said, “There is no change in policy. This is the first time, other than the Tomahawk strike on the airbase, that gave U.S. warplanes a targeted, pro-Assad forces.”

Smith did clarify his slightly garbled statement.

He said U.S. air strike was a warning shot delivered to pro-Assad forces, telling them to “Get out of this area now.”

When the pro-Assad forces refused, U.S. warplanes dropped explosives on them.

This story is still developing.
