Twitter has finally given in to pressure from the government and victims of terrorist attacks and made moves to ensure that radical Islamic terrorists won’t be able to freely promote terrorism and radicalism over their network.
Twitter announced on Friday that it has suspended more than 125,000 accounts that it considered to be ISIS related. According to Yahoo, the social media giant shut down the accounts that actively promoted terrorist acts and radical Islam. The company is using an automated spam fighting system to weed out the terrorist related accounts and shut them down.
Once an account is suspended by the automated system, they are reviewed by a real person.
