A terrifying accident has left one television star with a broken neck. It happened during a movie stunt recently and shocked crew members.
Ike Barinholtz, best known for his role in “The Mindy Project” on TV, was taking part in a stunt for an upcoming movie he was filming. According to reports, the accident has left him with two fractured cervical vertebrae in his neck.
"'The Mindy Project' star was shooting his upcoming movie 'The Pact' when he suffered a terrifying accident during a fall stunt five weeks ago,” reported People Magazine.
The actor is lucky the injury wasn’t worse. He has been undergoing treatment and therapy and is doing well. He even praised the great doctors on his case.
"We knew something was wrong right away," Barinholtz told People Magazine. "It was scary and was touch and go for a while. Luckily, I've had great doctors who have really helped me with my recovery. I do as they tell me."
Through everything, Ike has managed to stay positive and even keep his sense of humor. When asked recently about his new neck brace he even made a joke for the reporters.
"I have to wear an incredibly stylish neck brace for a while as the bone heals," he said sarcastically. "It's a cool look, especially in the summer."
