A television star and YouTube influencer was found dead over the weekend. Early reports state that it was thought to be a suicide.
Now, after an autopsy was performed, the coroner's office has ruled it a suicide by hanging. Stevie Ryan, actress and television personality, was found dead at only 33 years old.
She was most well known for her popular videos produced on YouTube. Beginning in 2006, her videos had thousands of views and her fans loved her celebrity impressions and parodies.
She also launched her own comedy series which was picked up by VH1. It was called Stevie TV and ran for two seasons.
"I remember waking up and one Little Loca video had, like, 900 hits, and I was like, 'Oh, my gosh. There's people watching this?'" Ryan said in an interview in 2012. "And it just kept going and then I did this Paris Hilton thing and then it literally was just growing and growing. And I just became so obsessed with all of it."
Most recently, Stevie had been running a podcast about mental health issues. Titled Mentally Ch(ill), her podcast opened up about her own battle with depression and mental health issues.
Two days before her death, Stevie informed her fans that her grandfather had just died and she worried about going deeper into depression. She even posted some chilling comments about the issue.
"I'm just worried that this is going to send me into a deeper depression," she told listeners.
