On Thursday, President Trump had a 42-minute interview right before his 100th day in office.
He was asked about the nuclear and missile programs of North Korea. He responded saying, "There's a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with North Korea, absolutely."
Trump said he wanted to resolve these conflicts in a peaceful manner by providing multiple economic restrictions, while still keeping the option of military assistance as a possibility.
"We'd love to solve things diplomatically but it's very difficult," he said.
President Trump also mentioned in his interview that he wants South Korea to pay the cost of the anti-missile defense system because of a large trade deficit with Seoul.
When President Trump was asked when he would announce his intention to renegotiate the trade pact with South Korea, Trump said: “Very soon. I’m announcing it now.”
