President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Texas on Tuesday following Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane that has left Texans fighting for their lives and facing massive destruction. During Trump’s visit, he received a briefing on the scenario, thanked government officials and first responders, and gave a notable speech to the people of Texas.
The memorable visit was of course covered by multiple mainstream media news outlets, including Fox News and CNN. However, Texas Trump supporters didn’t appear to be too thrilled about the coverage of CNN.
Nick Valencia, CNN correspondent, was on site with his crew to report on Trump’s Texas visit. While Valencia was working on a story in Corpus Christi, he was reportedly “heckled by a crowd shouting derogatory things” and referred to these actions as “unbelievable.”
Conservative commentator Mark Dice responded to Valencia’s remarks. First, he replied to Valencia’s post with laughing emojis. He later retweeted Valencia’s post and commented, “CNN reporter shocked that people heckled him,” followed by more laughing emojis.
Other Twitter users appeared to agree with Mark Dice and validated the actions of Texas Trump supporters. See a few comments below.
