Following the 2016 presidential election, there has, of course, been high tension between the two final candidates: Hillary Clinton from the Democratic party and now President Donald Trump from the Republican party. Since Trump officially became president, the two have taken multiple shots at one another including Clinton previously calling Trump “cruel” and a “disgrace” in a commencement speech over summer of 2017.
In Clinton’s newly released book, “What Happened,” the former Democratic presidential candidate targeted Trump again. Clinton reportedly discussed that she wished she would have been more aggressive towards Trump during the election instead of “keeping her cool,” while also referring to Trump as a “creep.” Variety mentioned that additionally, Clinton completely blamed her election loss on the situation with Russia and former FBI Director James Comey’s choice to reopen her investigation.
On Wednesday evening September 13th, Trump took to Twitter to reiterate Clinton still not accepting the blame for her not winning the election. He also said that the election wasn’t the only thing she lost, but she lost her “direction,” too.
Moments later, Trump tweeted, “The ‘deplorables’ came back to haunt Hillary. They expressed their feelings loud and clear. She spent big money but, in the end, had no game!”
Although it was not immediately clear what Trump’s comments about Hillary Clinton were referring to, CNBC News reported that the remarks were possibly in response to the content of Clinton’s book. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts in our Facebook comments.
