Trump Names U.S. Education Secretary, 2nd Woman To His Cabinet

After choosing Nikki Haley to be the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., President-Elect Donald Trump has just selected another woman to join his cabinet.

According to Fox News, Betsy DeVos from Michigan has been named the U.S. education secretary. DeVos has a history of advocating for charter schools and school vouchers and used to be a Michigan Republican Party chairwoman. DeVos has previously supported Common Core, though, which Trump spoke against during his campaign.

Her husband is an heir to and former president of Amway.
