Headline after headline from the mainstream media tries to paint President Trump’s first weeks in office as chaotic, ineffective, and failing quickly, but on Wednesday Trump hit the liberal narrative with a load of facts.
Writing on Twitter, Trump said, “LinkedIn Workforce Report: January and February were the strongest consecutive months for hiring since August and September 2015.”
The LinkedIn report for January shows 11.8% jump in hiring from December to January this year and a January with 11.4% higher hiring numbers than the previous January.
The February report Trump is referring to shows much more modest gains for February but does reveal that “seasonally-adjusted hiring has risen by a whopping 51% since June 2016.”
The report also shows a trend of workers migrating to the southern half of the U.S. plus the Pacific Northwest.
Trump then tweeted: “U.S. private sector job creation surging with nearly 300K created last month. Much more than expected!”
He linked to a CNBC story headlined: “Job creation posts blowout month in February.”
The story also reveals that about a third of those new jobs are in construction and manufacturing — two industries hit hard in America in the past years.
Overall, it was more growth than imagined as economists admitted that the 298,000 new jobs “shattered market expectations of 190,000.”
ADP vice president Ahu Yildirmaz exclaimed, "February proved to be an incredibly strong month for employment with increases we have not seen in years."
