Trump De-Escalates Feud With Pope Through This HUGE Admission

This year’s presidential race has seemed more like an episode of ‘The Twilight Zone’ than a race to become the leader of the free world.  Feuds erupted, scandals piled up, and to top things off even the Pope entered the world of American politics with a jab aimed directly at Donald Trump.

The Pope on Thursday suggested that Trump was not a Christian because he wanted to build a border wall and protect American interests from the massive inflow of drugs and illegal immigrants.

Trump’s knee-jerk response was to hit back, calling the Pope’s comments “disgraceful.” According to CNN, by the time the televised ‘Townhall’ was on air, Trump had changed his tone and effectively ended the short lived feud.

“I don’t like fighting with the Pope,” Trump said. “I like his personality; I like what he represents.”

Trump believes that the words between him and the Pope were nothing more than a media tactic to drum up more coverage and ratings.  “I don’t think this is a fight,” Trump said. “I think he said something much softer than was originally reported by the media.”  Trump also said that he would be willing to meet with the Pope anytime.
