Trump Adds Nikki Haley To His Administration

President-Elect Donald Trump appears to be letting bygones by bygones in his picks for top administration officials as he selects South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

While Haley was quite critical of Trump during his run for presidential nomination, he has now selected her to be the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., according to NBC News.

Haley said that she accepted the offer out of a "sense of duty."

"When the President believes you have a major contribution to make to the welfare of our nation, and to our nation's standing in the world, that is a calling that is important to heed," the 44-year-old two-term governor said.

For now, Haley will remain governor, but if confirmed by the U.S. Senate, will be the first woman selected for Trump's cabinet.
