The oldest son of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, Track, was arrested over the weekend in relation to a domestic violence incident. He is currently in custody and facing multiple charges including first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Last year, he was arrested on similar charges after physically assaulting his girlfriend and threatening suicide with an AR-15 assault rifle. As reported earlier, Palin previously stated her son is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in the U.S. Army and his deployment in Iraq.
Initially, little details were provided to the public regarding his most recent arrest. However, on Monday evening, Track’s affidavit was released, giving more insight into what led to the 28-year-old Palin son ending up in handcuffs.
According to PEOPLE, the former Republican governor called the police after her son broke into their home, who was “freaking out and was on some type of medication.” He reportedly showed up intoxicated and threatened to “beat up” his father after they had a disagreement involving a truck.
Track was able to enter the home by breaking through a window. His father left the house injured and with several cuts caused by his son before the cops arrived.
The LA Times also stated that Track begged his father to shoot him. His dad had grabbed a gun before police arrived for protection.
Track is currently on probation from the 2016 incident. It is unclear how this arrest will impact the situation.
If additional details are released, this article will be updated accordingly.
Please continue to pray for the Palin family during this difficult time. In other news, a memorable contestant from the hit show “Shark Tank” was also arrested recently.
