On Wednesday, September 27th, Michelle Obama spoke at the Inbound 2017 conference, a marketing and sales event. She took the opportunity to attack women who voted for President Trump.
Just like Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama seems to think women only voted for President Trump because they were doing what men tell them to do. Clinton made similar comments earlier in September.
"Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice," said the former First Lady of the United States.
She continued, “What does it mean for us as women that we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, 'That guy. He's better for me; his voice is more true to me,'" Obama said. "Well, to me that just says you don't like your voice. You like the thing you're told to like."
In other words, Mrs. Obama says Conservative woman only voted for President Trump because men in their lives told them to like him. Like Clinton, Obama completely removes a woman’s agency—her ability to make her own decisions—because she didn’t like the decision made.
Tomi Lahren, a Conservative commentator who works for Fox News, was having none of that. In her segment, Final Thoughts, she explained to Mrs. Obama why that’s faulty thinking.
“Another day, another condescending leftist telling you how to think, feel and act,” began Lahren. “This time it's Michelle Obama reminding the ladies that she knows what's best for us because apparently, we are not smart or independent enough to form an original thought.”
She rejects the idea that women voted for Trump because men in their lives told them to. Instead, she lists the things Conservative women chose when they filled out their ballot:
“Or did we choose secure borders, personal responsibility, a strong military, tax reform, smaller government, Obamacare repeal, and economic growth? See, that's what I voted for,” said Lahren.
She also added why she didn’t choose to vote for Hillary Clinton. She says she didn’t vote for her because that’s not the kind of first female president she wanted.
“You're dang right I voted against Hillary Clinton, and the fact Mrs. Obama thinks that makes me less of a woman tells you everything you need to know about the left. No Michelle, as a woman I did not want the first female president to be Hillary Clinton and for good reason.”
She concluded by reminding Mrs. Obama that she still has a voice. Even if it isn’t the voice that Liberals want women to have.
“Those are my final thoughts, Michelle. I hope you heard my voice and you'll remember it next time you talk down to free-thinking, Trump-supporting, America-loving women,” declared Lahren.
