Tomi Lahren, a rising star in conservative commentating and arguably the face of conservative news outlet The Blaze, has now been suspended days after controversial comments she made on “The View.”
According to The Daily Caller, 24-year-old Lahren appeared on the ABC show Friday and, despite arguing on the side of conservatism, called every pro-life conservative a hypocrite for their beliefs.
“I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” Lahren exclaimed on national television.
She also confirmed for everyone that she is, indeed, pro-choice, drawing applause from the largely liberal discussion panel and studio audience.
It’s an odd statement considering she called liberal feminist Lena Dunham a baby killer back in December, according to Red State.
The Daily Caller is reporting that it’s unclear if Lahren’s suspension is directly related to her comments Friday, but she has received a huge backlash over the weekend from conservatives and pro-life people of faith — a significant portion of The Blaze’s audience.
