Tom Brady, the quarterback for the New England Patriots, is arguably the best quarterback in the league right now. As he prepares for Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles, Brady has been receiving a high amount of media attention, hyping up football fans for Super Bowl Sunday.
Brady’s most recent media appearance, which took place Monday morning, took an unexpected turn when he abruptly ended his radio interview. According to ESPN, Brady made the decision following one host’s “disparaging” comments about his 5-year-old daughter.
Days before the NFL star’s interview, WEEI radio host Alex Reimer called Brady's daughter "an annoying little pissant” while discussing Brady’s documentary series “Tom vs. Time,” reported Fox News.
Brady responded to Reimer’s remarks, "I've tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect. I've always tried and come on and do a good job for you guys.”
“It's very disappointing when you hear [the comments about my daughter], certainly,” he continued. “My daughter, or any child, certainly don't deserve that."
Brady is currently “evaluating” if he will ever come on the radio show again. Fox stated that as a result, Reimer was suspended for Super Bowl week.
