There are still college professors in this world willing to fight against the leftist slant in public education and the growing entitlement class of millennials.
According to The Political Inside, University of North Carolina at Wilmington professor Mike Adams is one of them. On the first day of his class, the criminology professor, who has gotten attention in the past for trying to organize pro-life rallies on campus, has made it clear to the easily-offended liberals in his class that their hypersensitivity would have no place in his class and no place in America.
He told his class that he sees the growing trend of his students feeling that they have the right to not be offended as dangerous to society and said, "Let’s get something straight right now. You have no right to be unoffended. You have a right to be offended with regularity. It is the price you pay for living in a free society."
He went on to blame public high schools for failing to teach his students basic civics lessons about the First Amendment and founding documents.
During the course of his very hard-hitting, articulate speech, he addressed a student who had once complained to school officials about the professor talking about God-given talents and a Creator because it violated the Constitution's "Separation of Church and State."
The document the professor had been referring to? The Declaration of Independence.
Adams said, "Indeed, it takes hard work to become stupid enough to think the Declaration of Independence is unconstitutional."
He told students who believed that that there was three things he recommended to them. One, drop the class. Two, drop out of the university. Three, if necessary, leave the country. Maybe try Cuba.
