Their reason? They thought their chicken was too cold, and horror of horrors, they felt they didn’t get enough fries. In retaliation, they beat Norris, breaking her nose, and punched her daughter. The CCTV video of the attack went viral, and people are reaching out to offer their support.
“You hear the old saying, ‘people don’t want to get involved,” Norris told WTOC, but that wasn’t her experience, “They got involved. Between Facebook, social media, and you guys at WTOC, it has been amazing the response we have gotten from people.’
A local business, Hunter Johnson Ace & Lumber, is even offering a $2,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the couple, Nathaniel Eric and Latasha Smith.
People are also supporting the Qwik Chik hut where the attack happened. A picture shared on Twitter shows cars lined up to buy food.
It's always nice to see people turn out to support their own! It's a welcome reminder that there is goodness in the world, even in the face of such brutality.
