While a Trump surrogate, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin faded in and out of the campaign, leading some to question whether her relationship with Trump was a rocky one.
But now, according to ABC News, people close to both Trump and Palin are saying she's under serious consideration as his pick for secretary of veterans affairs.
Palin is a mother of a veteran and a strong critic of the problems that have plagued the VA health care system. She's also been a vocal proponent of solutions to help veterans better integrate back into the civilian workforce.
Her son in law, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, recently reposted a SarahPAC video that shows exactly why she's being considered for the position.
This is powerful:
Palin reposted the video herself today on Facebook with the caption, "We should be grateful we'll soon have a commander-in-chief who will champion our vets and honor the promises our nation made; a pro-private sector individual who surely understands bigger government is NOT the answer; a President who promised to drain the swamp and clean up all government corruption... all things our vets and active duty troops deserve."
Do you think she would be a good choice for VA secretary?
