The Graham Family Needs Your Prayers After Their Devastating Loss

Billy Graham's son in law, Danny Lotz, died in a pool accident on Wednesday at the age of 78.

His widow, Anne Graham Lotz, announced her husband's death on her website, writing that Danny “had moved to our Father’s House," reports

The article informs, "Anne Graham Lotz discovered her husband unresponsive in the pool in the backyard of their Raleigh home Monday. His heart had stopped, according to a statement from Rex Hospital."

In a statement on her website, Anne shares that her husband of 49 years had faced many health challenges in the last couple decades of his life from adult diabetes.  He had even lost hearing in one ear and sight in one eye to the disease.

“And yet he never complained,” Anne Graham Lotz shared. “He never slowed down, never gave up, never stopped investing in the lives of others.”

Danny had been a member of North Carolina’s undefeated national championship men’s basketball team in 1957.  "He was more than a man’s man”, Anne wrote about her husband, “He was God’s man who triumphantly finished his race having fought the good fight, and having kept his faith firmly focused on the kingdom of God first.”

This has to be a very hard time in the Graham family right now.  Will you say a prayer for them?  Their family has been an incredible blessing to America.  Thank you!
