Texas Is Fighting The Transgender Bathroom Bill For The Whole World, And Here's WHY

"The world depends on a strong America and America depends on a strong Texas and a strong Texas depends on a church and our synagogues. That's what it stands for — Texas values. That's who we are."

That's what Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick told a group of pastors this week at a meeting to defend women and children's safety against predators in their bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers.

Patrick is wisely mobilizing faith leaders to get SB6 passed, a bill that would protect against transgender bathrooms being forced upon Texas.

The issue is not so much with transgender people using the restroom of their choice, but with predators taking advantage of the bill. It would essentially give any man the freedom to go into a girls/women's private space and undress.

"Let me emphasize that the threat does not primarily come from persons who identify as transgender," explained the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins.

"Rather, it comes from those who might exploit the situation by posing as transgender to gain easier access to (usually) women's bathrooms or changing facilities, where they can engage in voyeurism, indecent exposure, or even sexual assault."

Patrick is asking pastors to pray and speak to their congregations, who would in turn influence their representatives, shares the Christian Post.

"We are going to need your help in gentle, persuasive and positive ways," Patrick told the pastors. "But always let people know that politicians care about a lot of things and one of the things that they always keep their eye on is 'What are the voters saying back in my district?' We all are held accountable."

Patrick is right. Texas is known as being very strong and bold within America. It Texas caves to pressure to be politically correct at the expense of being protective of the vulnerable, it will send a loud message to the rest of the world.

Patrick urged the pastors to stand strong and fight the battle. "[P]ray for all your legislators to be bold and courageous, do the right thing, pray for their protection and then go out and win this fight for America because America is watching Texas," he said.
