Ted Cruz Is Asked If He Hears From God, His Response Is Brilliant

Presidential candidates are asked about a lot of things: taxes, immigration, national security, but they are rarely asked about God.

During the first Republican debate, Fox took questions from Facebook users to ask during the debate, and one of the last questions that was asked was this:  "I want to know if any of them have received a word from God on what they should do and take care of first."

Debate Moderator, Megyn Kelly gave the first shot to Cruz: "Senator Cruz, start with you. Any word from God?"

Cruz didn't bat an eye.  His answer brought the whole audience to great applause: "Well, I am blessed to receive a word from God every day in receiving the scriptures and reading the scriptures. And God speaks through the Bible," Cruz responded.

Cruz also talked about what Faith means to him as evidenced by the story of his father’s failings and his turn to the church and scriptures.

It is rare and refreshing to many to hear a presidential candidate talk so strongly about their relationship with God and respect of His Word.

What do you think of Cruz's remarks, and is he a candidate you would want for president?
