A family is suffering in complete worry after they had to make a call to local law enforcement regarding their missing daughter. 31-year-old Laura Elizabeth Wallen, a high school teacher who is 4 months pregnant, has been missing since September 4th.
Wallen’s family called police after they received a very “alarming” text message from their daughter, according to CBS News. Although authorities will not reveal the content of the message, police stated, “It was alarming enough that the family said 'We need to call police’."
Before Wallen went missing, family said she was very excited about having the baby. According to multiple local news sources, the teacher showed no signs of distress or other unusual circumstances prior to her dissapearance.
Her vehicle was found in an apartment complex late evening of September 8th, according to The Daily Mail. However, Wallen has still not been seen or heard from.
Other than friends and family, Wallen’s students and faculty members were also very concerned about the situation, especially when the teacher did not show up for her first day of classes. Wallen is from Columbia, Maryland and teaches history and law at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia.
The principal of the school released the following statement, “Our staff members are closely monitoring students who may need assistance to process their thoughts and emotions associated with this report. Let’s keep Ms. Wallen, her family and the entire Wilde Lake community in our thoughts and prayers during this time.”
Please keep Laura Elizabeth Wallen and her family in your prayers today, and share this information on your Facebook page if you live in the area. As this investigation continues, please report any information to 911 immediately.
