Taxi Driver Who Drove Brussels Bombers To Airport Gives Frightening Account
A perpetrator of the Brussels airport bombing early today is being sought by authorities after he fled the scene when his suitcase explosives did not detonate. Two other suicide bombers were killed when they successfully set off their bombs, murdering at least 11 people, according to CNN. 20 more people were killed and many more wounded when another bomb went off in a subway station.
Now the taxi driver who says he drove the three bombers to the airport in Belgium has given his account of meeting the possibly ISIS-linked terrorists.
According to U.S. officials, the driver said the men refused to let him handle their suitcases. When some of the luggage they had did not fit in the taxi, they put it back in the residence they were leaving. Belgian newspaper HLN reports that the additional bombs hidden in the two pieces of luggage were found later during a raid by authorities.
Had the luggage fit in the taxi and all five suitcase bombs gone off instead of two, the loss of life and number of injuries could have easily been worse. Please continue to pray for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for those injured and affected by these evil acts.
