Target has made the news for a lot of reasons over the last few years. However, a horrible recall has once again put them back in the spotlight.

According to reports, Target has just announced they are recalling 175,000 units of their four-drawer dressers. The dressers were part of their Room Essentials product line.

“The recalled items were sold in Target Stores nationwide and online from January 2013 to April 2016 for around $118. They came in three different colors, including black, espresso and maple. The following model numbers were printed on the product's packaging and are included in the recall: 249-05-0103 (black), 249-05-0106 (espresso) and 249-05-0109 (maple),” according to Good Housekeeping.

The dressers have the potential to tip-over and trap children, potentially even fatally. Most dressers are recommended to be anchored to the wall for just that reason.

At this time there have been no reported injuries, although they have received numerous reports of the dressers tipping or falling. Target is warning customers to immediately stop using the dressers if they own one in their homes.
