Supreme Court Justice Weighs In On Kaepernick Controversy: “Dumb & Disrespectful”

Colin Kaepernick continues his misguided anti-American protest by sitting out during the playing of the national anthem before each San Francisco 49er football game to promote the false notion that police officers around the country are specifically targeting African Americans.

While Kaepernick’s protest has no basis in reality, it is supported by the constitution. But even though his protest is protected by the constitution, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg thinks it’s ridiculous. According to, Ginsburg was interviewed by Katie Couric recently and was asked about Kaepernick’s actions.

“What do I think? I think it’s really dumb of them,” Ginsburg said. “Would I arrest them for doing it? No. I think it’s dumb and disrespectful. I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning. I think it’s a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn’t lock a person up for doing it. I would point out how ridiculous it seems to me to do such an act.”

Do you agree with Ginsburg?
