Students Boo And Turn Their Backs As Betsy DeVos Delivers Graduation Speech

According to CNN, Education Secretary Betsy Devos was met with boos as she gave a commencement address to Bethune-Cookman University's class of 2017 in Daytona Beach, Florida.


After she began her speech, students booed and turned their backs on DeVos. After their actions, a school official stepped in and warned the students they would have their degrees mailed to them if they continued the disrespectful behavior.

When the students began to retake their seats, DeVos started speaking again. Throughout her speech, she was met with loud yells and contradictory remarks, even while thanking the students for the opportunity to be at their graduation.
