It has been reported by BBC News that London-born actor Alfie Curtis, who was famous for playing Dr. Evazan in "Star Wars: A New Hope," has died at age 87. He was also known for playing in the 1980 film "The Elephant Man" and the 80s UK series "Cribb."

The actor's Star Wars character was famous for threatening Luke Skywalker at Mos Eisley Cantina in the first of the original trilogy. He famously told Luke, "You just watch yourself. We're wanted men. I have the death sentence on 12 systems."

Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, tweeted a touching tribute to Alfie Curtis, claiming that he was a funny and kind man who helped provide one of the most memorable scenes of the Star Wars movies.

"Alfie Curtis made the #Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina scene (one of the most memorable I've ever been a part of) even MORE memorable. As horrific as he was on-camera, off-camera he was funny, kind & a real gentleman," he wrote.

"Thanks Alf- you'll be missed. #RIP."
