Over the weekend, actor and musician Corey Feldman was arrested on drug possession charges. He was given a misdemeanor for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license.
Feldman is best known for being a child actor in several popular '80s films, including "The Goonies" and "Lost Boys." He also played the voice of Young Cooper in "The Fox and the Hound," and had roles in "Gremlins," "Stand By Me," and several commercials.
While Feldman appeared on over 100 TV shows or movies throughout his career, he eventually switched to music. In 2002, he released a solo album titled "Former Child Actor."
While on tour with his band, Corey Feldman & The Angels, the musician was arrested. Feldman was reportedly in Richland Parish, Louisiana when the arrest took place.
According to ABC News, police pulled over a recreational vehicle that Feldman was driving. After discovering that his license was suspended, they took him to a police station. They also found marijuana in the RV when searching the vehicle.
Feldman was released after only paying a fine. While the police records indicated that he was charged with drug possession as well, Feldman has taken to Twitter to deny those charges.
Feldman claimed that a member of his crew had medical marijuana and that he was not issued any punishment for it. He posted a series of all-caps tweets to explain his side of the story.
Because there was no felony issued, Feldman was able to leave police custody after only paying a fine. He and his band are heading to Houston to raise money for continued hurricane relief.
In other breaking news, a child's remains were just found on a beach in "suspicious" possible homicide case. Please pray for this tragic situation.
