“America’s Got Talent” and “X Factor” judge and producer, Simon Cowell, faced a very unfortunate situation days ago when he fell down the stairs and had to be rushed to the hospital. Fans were worried and flocked to social media to send over their prayers and well wishes.

On Friday, Cowell woke up in the middle of the night and became dizzy. He went downstairs for a glass of warm milk, hoping to ease his troubles.

However, on his way back up to his bedroom, he fainted and fell backward back down the flight of stairs. The talent judge was spotted that morning being pulled out of his home on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace.

Fortunately for Cowell, he was released from the hospital later that day and was reportedly in stable condition. After the health scare, Cowell spoke out regarding the fall and revealed what caused his fainting.

He told The Sun, “Sometimes we get a reminder that we’re not invincible and this was certainly mine. It was a huge shock. They think I fainted because I had low blood pressure and so I have got to really take good care of myself to sort that out.”

Cowell mentioned that he wants to be well for his son Eric, “After all I am a dad and have more responsibility than ever.”

He also confirmed that the story released by the media was true, “I’d gone to get some hot milk because I felt ropey. On the way back upstairs, I just remember feeling really dizzy. Next thing I know someone was putting a neck brace on me and I had a terrible headache, which must have been from me hitting the stairs. I was worried at first that I’d done some real damage. But I’m on the mend now. I know I was very lucky I didn’t hurt myself seriously.

He continued, “It could have been a lot worse. I must say, everyone at the hospital were incredible. I’m truly grateful.”

According to The Sun, Cowell is giving up smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol to stay dedicated to a more healthier lifestyle. Following the incident, Cowell was forced to miss the weekend shows of the “X Factor,” including the first live show, but is expected to return after Sunday’s episode, stated Fox News.
