Congressman Steve Scalise became a household name after he was shot during an attack at the baseball field in D.C. earlier this year. Thankfully, the Capitol Police were on scene and were able to neutralize the shooter.

Some thought Scalise may not make it, initially. He was wounded in the leg and has since undergone numerous surgeries and hours of rehabilitation.

Now, for the first time since the shooting, the Congressman returned to the House Floor. Watch the amazing video below that President Trump posted and see the incredible welcome he received from all.

Congressman Scalise then gave a message to the people in the room. He opened up about the power of prayer that he put in God’s hands as he lay there, wounded, on the baseball field.

It’s an amazing and emotional message. Watch he video clip below to hear from him in his own words. He even said he’s a living example of a miracle!
