Recently, a young man opened fire on his classmates in a horrific school shooting in Spokane, Washington. Caleb Sharpe reportedly walked to the 2nd floor of his high school and pulled a large assault weapon from his bag.
The assault weapon could have been catastrophic, had Sharpe been able to use it. It jammed while he tried to load it.
At that time, a classmate walked up to Sharpe and reportedly confronted him. The classmate told Sharpe he was going to get in trouble and that he “always knew you (Sharpe) were going to shoot up the school.”
At that moment, Sharpe pulled out a handgun and killed the student. He then opened fire on others, wounding several people. They are all expected to survive.
Sharpe would have most likely continued his attack, however, his pistol had jammed. Thankfully, he surrendered soon after.
The community in the area has been rocked by the tragedy. Family and friends are mourning the loss of their loved one and asking why the school didn’t see this coming.
However, in the midst of all the darkness, it is truly miraculous that both of Sharpe’s guns jammed. Had they not, dozens more could have potentially been murdered.
