Crocs, a multimillion-dollar shoe company that was founded in 2002, has released a variety of shoe products over the years. A comfort shoe covered with small holes, which many expected to fail in the fashion industry, has actually been the center of several worldwide trends.
Last fall, Balenciaga—another fashion company—produced a fashion show, which sported “platform Crocs.”
The internet went into a complete frenzy, shocked by the bizarre shoe style.
Recently, Balenciaga released several different designs of the shoe for sale in their online store. Prices range from a whopping $450-$895.
The 4-inch high shoes come in a variety of colors: black, “yellow sun,” and “Corail” (pink).
According to the New York Post, Barney’s listed the platform Crocs on their website for presale at $850. The shoes reportedly sold out in hours, despite the negative reviews circulating social media.
