Singer Joy Villa turned heads last year with her stunning “Trump” dress at the 2017 Grammy Awards ceremony. Her silky and glittered red, white, and blue dress that read “Make America Great Again” made national headlines for weeks.
Since Villa’s infamous Grammys outfit, the singer has continued to express her support for President Trump and conservative policies on multiple occasions. By mixing fashion and conservative politics, she has become a fan favorite among Trump supporters.
The “Trump” dress wasn’t the only unique ensemble Villa rocked at the annual awards ceremony. In 2015, she made her red carpet debut in a homemade dress designed of orange construction fencing and in 2016, she wore a unique display of black spikes.
Fans were eager to see her outrageous outfit choice for this year’s Grammys—which did not disappoint. Villa’s bold 2018 dress was not only gorgeous, but additionally, sent a powerful message to viewers.
Villa walked the red carpet in a white wedding gown and sparkly crown. On the dress, Villa handpainted a fetus outlined in rainbow colors. The outfit was completed with a matching small, white purse that had the words “Choose Life” displayed on the front.
According to Fox News, Villa’s reasoning for the dress stems from something very dear to her heart. When Villa was 21 years old, she made the decision to give her child up for adoption instead of choosing abortion.
The singer stated, "I'm a pro-life woman. This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do. I'm all about life."
