"Complete the letter...to your family on how you are converting to Islam. Include: How you're feeling, how becoming a Muslim has changed your life, how much you love your family and how they can accept your choice."
Imagine having your 12- to 13-year-old be given that assignment.
According to The Sun, a school in the U.K. is doing just that.
Not surprisingly, word of the assignment sparked criticism, especially amidst concerns about ISIS radicalization among Britain's youth. And the assignments disclaimer that it's purpose is not to convert anyone to Islam but rather test students' knowledge and ability to make arguments has not done enough to reassure everyone.
The Blaze pointed out a similar incident recently in Maryland where high school students were required to write out an Islamic conversion creed.
