On Friday, news outlets reported that White House Communication Director Anthony Scaramucci’s wife had filed for divorce. Scaramucci indirectly confirmed the rumors via Twitter by asking the media to respect his family’s privacy.
He wrote on Friday, “Leave civilians out of this. I can take the hits, but I would ask that you would put my family in your thoughts and prayers & nothing more.”
“Family does not need to be drawn into this. Soon we will learn who in the media has class and who doesn't. No further comments on this,” said Scaramucci on Saturday in a follow-up tweet.
Now reports are saying that Scaramucci’s wife, Deidre, who was nine months pregnant when she filed for divorce, gave birth to a little boy last week. However, Scaramucci wasn’t able to be there because he was at the Boy Scouts Jamboree with President Trump.
A source told Page Six that Scaramucci texted his wife after he heard the news
“Congratulations, I'll pray for our child,” said Scaramucci.
Even though they had already entered divorce proceedings, Scaramucci planned on being there for the birth of his child, wrote the Washington Examiner. However, the little boy came two weeks early, so Scaramucci couldn’t make it to New York City in time to be present at the birth.
A source close to Scaramucci reports that he visited his new son late on Friday. Is it possible that this kind of absence is what is causing conflict in their marriage?
Please pray for Scaramucci and his family. It’s always sad to see a couple file for divorce, but the fact that they just had a child together—and already have another small boy—makes it even sadder.
